Counselling and Psychotherapy Services

eGrowth Therapy provides counselling and psychotherapy services. During the provision of our counselling services, it is necessary for us to collect and record personal information. The information gathered is part of our assessment and treatment planning, and enables our Practitioners (counsellors, psychotherapists, therapists) to provide relevant and informed support.

Confidentiality

Personal information gathered by your Practitioners during the provision of counselling services will remain confidential and secure, except where it is: 1) subpoenaed by a court; 2) our Practitioners are mandated by law to report; or 3) failing to disclose information would place you or another person at serious and imminent risk. There may be times where your Practitioner may wish to communicate with a supervisor and/or other health professionals to assist with your treatment. In these instances, no identifying information will be released, and additional consent will be requested prior to such arrangements. 

Professional Fees and Payments

Our services are available to adults over the age of 18. The cost of our services are $150 per person and $135 per student for a 50 minute therapy session, unless otherwise arranged. Session fees are payable in full at the end of each session, and payments can be made by card or direct deposit (bank details provided on invoice). Payments made by card are managed via Halaxy’s payment processing system and are subject to additional processing fees. Please be aware that payment must be made prior to your next appointment or your therapy session may be cancelled. All of our fees are subject to review and may be adjusted in accordance with operational needs. 

Cancellation Policy

You can change or cancel your appointment without penalty up to 48 hours prior to your scheduled session. Changes and cancellations made within 48 hours will incur a fee of 50% of the total session cost. We appreciate as much notice you can give us in advance, as your early cancellation will give us the opportunity to offer an appointment to another person seeking support. 

Running Late

We understand that unexpected events arise, however we ask that our clients endeavour to attend their appointments on time. This allows our Practitioners to provide you with the highest standard of support and care. If you are running late, please note that your session duration will not be automatically extended, and the full session fee will apply. Late arrivals after 15 minutes will be treated as a cancellation and incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the total session cost. It is at the sole discretion of the Practitioner if they are able to proceed with, or extend your appointment time, if you arrive more than 15 minutes late.

Technology 

Our online (telehealth) sessions are offered over Google-meet and Halaxy Telehealth. To participate in online therapy, you will need access to a quiet, comfortable and private space that has reliable internet connection. Please ensure that your electronic device is equipped with a camera, microphone and speakers, such as a laptop, computer or tablet. If you are using your smartphone, please turn off notifications during sessions to ensure you receive the best online therapy experience. 

Limitations of Telehealth

There may be limitations to the use of telehealth services, such as an unstable network connection which may affect the quality of the session. Also, there may be some services for which telehealth may not be appropriate or effective. In these situations, your Practitioner will consider and discuss with you the appropriateness of ongoing telehealth services. While we strive to ensure the security of online therapy, the privacy of any form of communication via the internet is potentially vulnerable and we cannot guarantee the complete security of data sent over the internet.

About Therapy with Us 

Your specific needs and goals will define the duration and frequency of therapy. During therapy, your Practitioner will establish points to evaluate your satisfaction and progress. While we do our best to help you achieve your desired goals, therapy will look different for each individual, and our Practitioners can not guarantee any specific results. We invite you to raise any feedback, questions or concerns you may have during the therapeutic process. 

Termination and Gifts

You may end your therapy whenever you wish, however it is beneficial to have at least one concluding session to summarise your progress and discuss post-therapy support. Please be aware that our Practitioners cannot accept gifts or invites to anything outside of the sessions and cannot connect with you on social media. Furthermore, Practitioners cannot act as a witness for you in court, nor a reference, such as written letters for schools, employers or courts, except where they are subpoenaed or court ordered to do so. 

Record Keeping:

Our Practitioners keep records of Our services provided to you. Records are used to ensure quality and continuity of service, and may include personal information relating to the type of therapy used, and the progress and results of counselling services. Personal information and records are electronically stored with our clinical practice software system Halaxy. These records are kept for a minimum of seven years after your last contact with us. They will not be shared except for the limits to confidentiality discussed in this agreement. 

Contacting Your Practitioner: 

Due to the nature of our work, your Practitioner may not always be immediately contactable. If you need to get in touch, please email us at hello@egrowththerapy.com.au or leave a message on your Practitioners mobile, if provided to you. Practitioners are not available to answer the phone, texts or emails outside of our office hours detailed on our website. Please be aware that eGrowth Therapy is not a crisis support service, if you are experiencing an emergency or severe distress please call 000, or refer to Australian helplines at https://www.healthdirect.gov.au/mental-health-helplines.

Privacy, Liability and Indemnity:

The Terms and Conditions of this Agreement are governed and construed in accordance with Australian laws. By engaging in our services, you are agreeing to our Services Agreement, together with our Privacy Policy and Website Terms of Use. Furthermore, by accepting our terms, you agree to indemnify and keep indemnified eGrowth Therapy Pty Ltd and all of its associated Service Providers against all claims, loss, damage, injury, objections or litigation arising from the carrying out of, or failure to carry out Our services.
